Anand Murthy

Anand aims to help more and more people realize that meditation and pranayama (breath practice) can drastically reduce stress/anxiety even during the most difficult times, and enhance overall quality of life. He has been involved in insight meditation in the Theravada tradition for over ten years and believes that this is the direct path to tranquility. His current mindfulness practice is focused on concentration (with the breath) with Shaila Catherine as his main mentor. Anand loves to work with beginning students as well as experienced meditators. He also loves to emphasize the scientific reasoning behind mindfulness practice during his meditation sessions.
